Hello Shelly.
I'm also a professional photographer and digital artist. I also offer photo re-touching and manipulations as part of my business services.
If you're unemployed you might want to try and start your own business as a freelancer by posting an ad on such free sites as Craigslist in their "Creative Services" section. I post there all the time and once in a while I do get a customer from there.

I am in the same boat Shelly. I am a photographer and retoucher, myself... as well as unemployed. I have tried to Craigslist thing, but all I have gotten is offers for "business opportunities" so far. I am not giving up though, and neither should you. Good luck in your ventures.
