Photoshop or Not?

Photoshop is a very useful tool. Everything from skin softening and teeth whitening, to adding cutesy swirley borders to baby photos. So many people nowadays want to look like someone they are not, photoshop can achieve that (and if it makes a sale, so be it. So long as the client is happy). But if you want to be a "PUREST" in photography today, you may be selling yourself a bit short. I would add that if you don't have to do alot of graphic stuff,,,, LIGHTROOM would be a wise investment for your photography. Download a free 30 day trial if you haven't yet, and give it whirl. You may find that it meets your needs better than photoshop does. I should say that I have CS3 and use it alot and love it. It can really improve your game if you want it to. Never say no to available resources, I think folks that use any and all available resources are the ones who are usually one step up on the competition. Yes, getting it right in the camera is the best way to go....but a little help now and then never hurts. Happy shooting...
