Upgrading cameras

Good morning to all...I am seeking the guidence from all the respect photograpers in the network. I am currently in a decision struggle over purchasing a new digital SLR. I've read enough information on Canon vs Nikon to create a paper trail to the moon. I am open to other product information other than the two products mentioned. Could I please have feed back in reference to the pros and cons from anyone...please.
